I was fortunate to meet John Inman this past Monday when he came to the Detroit area (he
was actually in Ann Arbor for any of you who know this area well). He's a very funny guy;
I'm so lucky to have had the chance to meet him. He was also hysterical when he appeared on
PBS the following evening... he had me cracking up. A few years ago (when he had come to
this area) I wasn't able to go meet him because of school, but I sent him fanmail to the
shopping mall anyways. A few weeks later I received a letter from him back in England
expressing his sorrow that we didn't get to meet. He also sent an autographed picture.
Imagine my surprise when I opened up the letter, and there was an autographed picture of
Mr. Humphries!

He looked remarkably well. The last time he was here (I had seen him on tv) he had gained
weight, but this time he looked thinner... But his humor and charm takes years off of him!
