Lemon Ginger - Herbal Tea
ingredients: ginger root, lemongrass, ginkgo biloba, hibiscus, safflower, citric acid, natural lemon flavor
subjective analysis:
This one smells alright, but it's really weak on both smell and flavor, unless you prolong the steeping - even then, you can really only detect the ginger's heat and not the flavors that should go along with that heat; the ginger and lemon flavors are only brought out to their fullest when you suck on the tea bag (and yes, I do that all the time with tea bags XP). If you want a summary of this tea in a few words, it tastes like black pepper boiled in water. -_- Seriously. *L* -_-;;; If I wanted a truly good lemon-ginger tea, what I would do (if I didn't want to go to the trouble of boiling freshly grated ginger root in sugar water) is use the really yummy and potent powdered ginger tea that I get in Korean grocery stores, and then squeeze fresh lemon juice into the tea. Stash Tea's version doesn't even have real lemon in it, just "natural lemon flavor"; the only possible good point about this version is that it's fortified with gingko biloba. Rating: a miss
