Wild Raspberry - Herbal Tea

Wild Raspberry - Herbal Tea

ingredients: hibiscus flowers, rosehips, orange peel, lemongrass, licorice powder, citric acid, natural raspberry flavors

subjective analysis:
When I read the ingredients I was a bit ambivalent on how this tea would taste, but my expectations were happily disappointed, cause it's quite good! It does require a long steeping - I prefer a steeping of about/at least five minutes, and ten is great - but it's nice enough to be worth the wait. It's tart, but lightly so, as opposed to the mouth-imploding sourness one might expect, and there's a really subtle, pleasing aftertaste of sweetness from the licorice powder (you don't taste any licorice, though - you can only detect that nice, sweet aftertaste). The tea has wonderful floral notes to it and a fruity (one might say "juicy") taste. A perfect balance of sweet with sour, which is what you'd want in a raspberry tea. The tea even has a really pretty, deep red color to match! XD All in all, this is quite an awesome infusion. Rating: a hit!
