A Seiyuu Primer:
"Seiyuu" is the Japanese word for voice actor; the word "seiyuu" is made up of two characters that together literally mean "superior voice" ("sei" is "voice" while "yuu" is "to be superior"). They do the voices of characters in anime (i.e. "Japanese animation") series, and many anime fans are also fans of certain seiyuu - it might be because of that seiyuu's incredibile acting ability (heck, if they can act through their voice alone and don't have the benefit of the audience being able to see their faces or body movements, they MUST be pretty darn good), the versatility and/or beauty of their voice, the characters they play, the seiyuu's sexiness, :p or a combination of these things.
Seiyuu are pretty popular in Japan, and with good reason: not only do they do the voices of characters in anime, but many also have their own radio shows, do voiceovers for commercials, attend countless promotion events, release vocal CDs as a solo act or as a group with other seiyuu, put on vocal concerts, sing the opening and ending songs of different anime shows, write articles for seiyuu magazines (yes, there are magazines about seiyuu), and even do the voices of characters in popular American TV shows that get dubbed into Japanese.

So, what does all this have to do with Have You Seen This Seiyuu?, you ask? Basically, I just wanted to set up a seiyuu image gallery for anime fans to look at - as an anime fan myself I really enjoy seeing the people behind the voices of characters I love, but it was tough to find many pictures on the Net, and as I recently acquired lots of material that featured hordes of seiyuu pictures I felt I had to share them. There are quite a few seiyuu websites already out there, but most galleries limit themselves to one picture per seiyuu, and the pictures are usually bad quality, or just too small, or don't show the seiyuu at their best. I just wanted to offer a seiyuu image gallery that had prettier pictures and which focused on the seiyuu that I personally like.
