28 March:
 (I'd just gotten a haircut and had been working out a lot, so I just felt the need to camh0r myself in order to document my efforts. *snort* I know, I'm a dumbass. XD Anyway, these were shot in my studio. :D)
- Here you can barely see me due to the flash. :O
- OMG WHUT A CAMH0R!lololol XD
3 April:
 (On this day my good friend Nna gathered her friends together so that we could help her celebrate her birthday two days early - and help her we did! :D We all went out to dinner at Mel's Diner on Van Ness in San Francisco, and afterwards we did some bar-hopping. Michael and I cut out early and went back to the Mark Hopkins Hotel on Nob Hill, where we were staying for the weekend. There we got dressed up, went up to the Top of the Mark, and munched/sipped yummy things like port and creme brulée while holding hands and being sappy late into the night. XD Hey, it was one of our first "big" dates! :D)
- So here I am looking dorktastic while Michael gets down and dirty to "Like a Virgin." XD;;;
20-25 May:
 (I was in Toronto for about five days, visiting some good friends of mine and tagging along with them to Anime North, a convention held in Toronto for anime geeks every May. The picture you see above is my good friend Maral in a costume of her own design/make - as you can see she's quite talented. :D I miss her! I try to go to Toronto every May but I haven't been able to go since this particular trip, so here's to hoping for 2007!)
- Maral dressed as the female mage from Ragnarok Online... She's got a bit of red-eye here. o_o;
- Maral, still dressed as the mage, posing for me while we were waiting in a line. :D
- Here you can see the intricate quilting on the panel of cloth Maral is holding.
- Maral-mage does a final pose! XD
- A lone Canadian goose on the roof of the convention center! It's so... MAJESTICAL! *_*
- Maral dressed as Kendappa from Rg Veda.
- Maral as Kendappa, posing in the wind! :D
- A headshot of Maral as Kendappa, highlighting the accessories she made for her outfit.
- Never EVER let me near ketchup in a diner, foolish mortals! XD
- These geese look guilty. I think I interrupted them having The Sex. XD XD XD
- Tabitha, Jon, and Sabrina lost in a sea of ナルト (Naruto) cosplayers at the convention.
- Another shot of the huge Naruto crowd. o.o;;;
- Maral and Roupen run the convention's dance. I made this sign after they got too many song requests. XD
- Maral looking sassy in her "Emerald Gothic Lolita" costume. XD
- Maral in the E.G.L. costume again, posing to show off her stripey sleeves! :D
- Maral and I found this messed up kid's top in a Kensington Street shop. Just... look at it. Yeah. XD;;;
- On my way back from Toronto I had a layover in Vegas. This was the highlight of that city's horrid airport. XD
13-16 June:
 (When I was dating Michael we would get to use his parents' house up at the Sea Ranch from time to time. You can click that link for more details but basically the Sea Ranch is a small, planned housing community designed for environmentally conscious rich folk; it's situated right smack on the coast about an hour or so north of Bodega Bay, where Hitchcock filmed TEH BIRDZ. XD Michael and I took several trips to the Sea Ranch during our relationship, but the pictures below are from the very first time we went there so it's a very nostalgic set of photos for me. While I was still with Michael his parents sold this particular Sea Ranch house and bought a larger one that was much closer to the water's edge, and in some of my later photo galleries you'll see pictures from that house as well. Anyway, enjoy! Oh, and by the way, the picture displayed above is from a trip we took to Mendocino during our stay at the Sea Ranch; Mendocino is only about an hour north of Sea Ranch.)
- Halfway to Mendocino we stopped to take photos of the view; this is also where the above photo was taken.
- An awesome pattern of stripes created by the rocks and the waves.
- Ooh, just look at that big ass! XD Yum yum! L.A. face with an Oakland bootie! XD XD XD
- This is what I was looking down the precipice at: rocks laid bare by receding waves.
- Here are the rocks from the previous pic, this time covered by splash and spray from an incoming wave.
- The mist from a receding wave bends the light into a gorgeous rainbow. *_* Beautiful stuff!
- This reminds me of the Greek myth of Charybdis, the whirlpool monster. And I'm officially a big dork. XD
- This photo looking south down the coastline was taken when we got to Mendocino.
- Another look at the water, with a large cypress tree in the foreground. Well, I think it's a cypress tree. XD;
- A cute pair of seastacks at Mendocino, with a nice stretch of coastline visible in the background.
- Michael blocking the view of the seastacks. *L*
- A large windswept tree near the house, gilded by the late afternoon light. *_*

- Michael making a face for the camera, as usual. XD
- Michael and I on the deck of the house, enjoying the light of magic hour plus some wine/olives. XD
- Michael and I kissing... ZOMG 2 HAWT 2B REAL LOLZ!!!111one!1elevin :O
- Deer in the backyard! :O There were more than just one, but this fawn was the cutest. XD
- Walking up the coast from the Sea Ranch to Gualala, Michael and I spotted a "face" in a piece of driftwood.
- Here's a close-up of the "face" - can you see it? (I LOVE the swirling, milky pattern on the wood! *_*)
- A close-up of the swirling, liquidy/cloud patterns on the log. *_*;;;
- The white flakes nestled among the ice plants are jellyfish that washed up on land in bad weather.
- A gorgeous photo of a small section of coastline near the northern edge of the Sea Ranch.
- A huge seastack just off the northern edge of the Sea Ranch. Gulls and sea lions can rest there! :D
- A small photo of dinner: grilled wild salmon, shrimp skewers, marinated cucumber, and steamed rice. :9~
- SPECIAL: A short movie clip of Michael in the car at Mendocino. Part 1 of 1. (.avi format, 2.7 MB)
19 June:
 (A couple months before I moved in with Michael I went over to his new house and we made a large batch of makizushi - i.e. sushi rolls - for dinner. I also played my piano while I was there, as I had moved that in advance. In case you're wondering, I'm playing Edvard Grieg's "Wedding Day At Troldhaugen," Op. 65, No. 6 in the above photo. Grieg is one of my favorite composers, along with Chopin, Debussy, and Ravel.)
- Tasting my fingers as I make makizushi. And gawd, look at that gross/shaggy hair! :O
- Slicing up a batch of makizushi - pay no attention to the mess everywhere! XD
- LET'S SUSHI. XD!!! XD XD
Some time between June and July:
 (Bored at work and in need of a haircut!)
 (A few days later, sitting at home with a brand new haircut! XD The photo is tinted red because I put my thumb over the flash on purpose. I was briefly intrigued by the notion of being photographed using light that is filtered through your own blood. I know, sounds lame, but I liked the result!)
12 July:
 (On this day my mother came up to the Bay Area from Los Angeles, so she, my brother, and I went out to Thai Time in San Carlos, my favorite Thai restaurant on the Bay Area peninsula... even though it's overpriced as hell! XD)
- A beautiful photo of Crystal Springs Reservoir by Highway 280, with coastal fog spilling over the hills.
- My brother and I at Thai Time, waiting impatiently for our food. >:|
- And here it is! Look at all the tasty things! *_*;;; Hurry up with the photo so we can EAT! XD |
