Below is a list of mythology, astrology, and opinion pages for the main protagonists of Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon. If you're wondering why I've omitted Kaioh Michiru/Sailor Neptune and Chiba Mamoru/Tuxedo Kamen from the list, that's because I have actual online shrines dedicated to them and within those shrines I have more than enough mythology/astrology information. Click on either name to get to that character's shrine.

Besides being a Sailormoon fan, I've been obsessed with Greek mythology since childhood (back in high school I won national awards for my classical mythology knowledge) and I have also studied astrology intensely—not because I believed in it but because I was interested in the artistic themes, the symbolism, and the connections it had to early religions/classical mythology. I made this small website so that I could have an excuse to analyze and discuss the mythology and astrology related to the main protagonists of Sailormoon and also throw in my general opinions on the main characters.

(I apologize but I do not have any info on the characters' blood types and favorite foods and all that—you can find that at any good Sailormoon information site. ^_~ My sites are dedicated solely to the astrology and mythology behind each character.)

Some important things you should keep in mind before viewing the pages below:

1. Although I've received awards for my "expertise" in classical mythology and although I have taught myself a lot of astrology, the only information you will find on a certain character's page will be that which is related to that character. Even then I intend to limit much of my ramblings to *how well* the mythology and astrology relating to that character actually fits her. Therefore, if you want really comprehensive material on astrology or mythology as opposed to character-specific analyses, please go to a different website or to your library. ^_^

2. Even though Takeuchi Naoko mostly used the Roman names of mythological figures when she was naming her Sailormoon characters, I will use the Greek names at this website instead. I do this because, as any student of mythology knows, almost all Romans gods and characters are facsimiles of original Greek mythology figures. More importantly, all the mythology connected to the Sailor Senshi is Greek and not Roman, so it makes more sense to use the Greek names. 3. For some reason my personal opinions about the characters can have a tendency to stir up strong feelings of resentment in some fans of the series. *rofl* XD While you're reading my thoughts at the Citadel, PLEASE remember that these are OPINION pages and opinion pages alone. The whole point to an opinion page is to espouse a subjective view, and there's no reason to argue with me or resent me just because I like or dislike a certain 2-D fictional character more/less than you do. If you disagree with anything I say here, just contact me in a civil way and if you bring up good points I will revise my pages accordingly.

4. For webpage makers: Only my three images of Sailor Pluto are free to take from the Citadel. The rest of the pics at the Citadel were captured and Photoshopped by me and may NOT be taken to use on your website. Obviously this kind of request is impossible for me to enforce, but I am a firm believer in the honor system and I would ask that you respect my effort to keep this site somewhat unique.
