I also ranted about how S.O.S., an organization dedicated to bringing Sailormoon to America, ruined the show by making false claims about the sexuality of two lesbian characters. My issue was that DiC cut and "dumbed down" the episodes while S.O.S. tried to spread homophobic lies about the show in an attempt to increase its acceptability. I have no problem with Sailormoon being brought to America properly - in fact, Pioneer is doing just that, by releasing DVDs of Sailormoon episodes, all uncut, available in English AND in Japanese. No cutting of scenes, no airbrushing of lines, no B.S. about lesbians being "really close cousins."
